Battles of the American Revolution: 1780

Join us for part six of an ongoing series about the battles of the American Revolution. During 1780, Cornwallis unleashes Banastre Tarleton as a terror in the Carolinas. Francis “Swamp Fox” Marion is virtually left alone in defending South Carolina. The names of Waxhaws, Hanging Rock, Camden, and King’s Mountain enter the history books. Spain continues its victories in the Gulf Coast while a young Horatio Nelson leads a combat expedition up the Rio San Juan in Honduras against the Spanish. The siege of Gibraltar enters its second year and even a battle off the coast of Portugal takes place. Not to be forgotten, the Canary Islands, Illinois, and the Wild West town of St. Louis become combat scenes. Please join us for this whirlwind trip around the globe.
