Join historian Bruce Miller and Robin Simonton, Executive Director of the Historic Oakwood Cemetery, for an engaging course about the lives of our famous (and infamous) permanent residents. Along the way, we’ll learn about the history of cemeteries, how modern burial grounds work, monument art and symbolism, and the history of those who lived in our community. With 153 years spread out over 72 acres, we'll learn a lot. This course will be held on the Oakwood Cemetery grounds, so be prepared for walking and standing. Specific directions will be sent prior to the first class.
