Lecture -- Balancing Food Safety with Reducing Food Waste

This lecture will provide food safety information for consumers at home to reduce risk of foodborne illness and will cover topics such as ways to reduce cross contamination, temperatures for storing and cooking food, and other safe handling practices. We will also explore what various date labels mean (sell by, use by, best by) in an effort to maximize food safety and quality while reducing food waste.
