Lecture -- Emergency Preparedness for Older Adults

This lecture is designed to help you prepare for emergency situations that may arise due to natural disasters, such as floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, wildfires and more. You will learn about the important steps you need to take, before disasters happen, to keep you and your family safe. We will provide a brief introduction about Raleigh’s Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program, which educates volunteers about disaster preparedness for the hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations.
