This lecture will look to peel away the layers from the myth of Ernest Hemingway and show him to be a much more complex artist than the myth would ever allow. During this session, we will explore what we know or think we know of the man. Then we’ll show him for what he really is and was, discuss the very disparate influences on the artist, and examine those influences at work in his writing.
