Lecture -- Tom Price Builds a Kit Car!

Have you ever wondered what is involved in building a kit car? OLLI member and instructor Tom Price did, so he built one: a replica of a 1965 Shelby Cobra. It was a rewarding, challenging, interesting, and, at times, frustrating experience.  Tom will walk you through his experience, not from a technical standpoint, but rather at a higher level. To say it was a “kit” is a misnomer.  Being a kit implies that some boxes show up with all the parts and an instruction manual and you put it together. Not in this case. Instead, he received a body and a frame and went from there to find guidance and parts. At the end of this presentation, Tom hopes you will better understand the process and be motivated to either build your own or promise yourself never to take on such a challenge!
