Study Trip -- Looking for Larvae – A Caterpillar Field Experience

Join local naturalist Mike Dunn on an easy hike as he shares secrets of the lives of caterpillars. We will be going in search of some of the fascinating creatures that are abundant at this time of year. Learn about their journey from egg to pupa and the many defenses they have to protect them from the myriad of predators and parasites that would love to make them a larval lunch. Discover where to find caterpillars, and which plants attract some of our most interesting local species. Bring your camera and binoculars and a filled beverage bottle to keep you hydrated on the walk.
