Study Trip -- NC State's J.B. Hunt Library

Join us on this visit to the magnificent J.B.Hunt, Jr. Library on NC State’s Centennial Campus. The library opened in January 2013 and is on five floors so there will be quite a bit of walking and standing, participants may use the elevator or climb the Monumental Yellow Stairs between floors. Yes, that is their official name! See the Bookbots in action as they dart up and down Robot Alley. Try out the latest electronic gadgets in the Apple Technology Showcase (not the Apple you might expect!).  Admire the views around campus from the Skyline Reading Room and Terrace. Sample all the colorful, sometimes wacky seating. Observe the many and varied meeting rooms and study areas. The library truly is a beautiful space that you have to visit to appreciate.

Note: Be prepared to walk and stand throughout the tour. If you find yourself unable to participate in this trip, please contact the OLLI office, no substitutions are possible.
