Study Trip -- Walking Tour of Raleigh’s Historic Churches



Join us for a part driving, part walking tour of downtown Raleigh’s historic churches – there are eight within half a mile of each other. With our local guide you will be able to see the variety of architectural styles close up, admire the serene gardens and learn about the interesting history and relationships among the churches. Participants must be able to walk up to six blocks on sidewalks and climb a few steps to enter buildings.

Notes: Wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather as we will be walking and standing for most of the tour. Participants will be required to comply with all NC State University COVID-19 directives in place at the time of this study trip, which may include wearing a mask. Details will be provided via email nearer the date. If you find yourself unable to participate in this trip, please contact the office; no substitutions are permitted.  

Includes:       Transportation by NC State bus, guided walking tour

Depart:          McKimmon Center at 9:45 am

Return:          Approximately 12:15 pm
