Held in person at McKimmon Center: It’s no secret that America isn’t the only country with a thriving film industry. Italy, France, Britain, Japan, Mexico, Korea and many other nations have long turned out top tier movie product. This course will feature some of that bounty – six films from six different countries. Included will be an Italian masterpiece from the post-war neorealist era; a charming fantasy from the British Isles; a searing Australian domestic drama; a Russian rock and roll musical (you read that correctly) and a crazy/funny/horrific and critically acclaimed monster movie/social satire from East Asia. A discussion will follow each screening. 

Note: Some of these films may contain violence, although not to a great degree. If you have any problems with violence in movies, this course may not be for you.
