Study Trip -- A Springtime Stroll at the North Carolina Botanical Garden

In 1952, UNC-Chapel Hill Board of Trustees dedicated 70 acres for botanic garden development. Recognized by the American Public Gardens Association for excellence in Biodiversity and Conservation, the North Carolina Botanical Garden now contains over 1,000 acres and 2,500 species across various nature preserves and conservation easements. A trained Garden Guide will take OLLI members on a leisurely walk through the Display Gardens, which feature a variety of southeastern native wildflowers, shrubs and trees. The tour is 60 minutes in length. Restrooms and the garden shop are available in the James and Delight Allen Educational Center, a LEED Platinum certified building.
